THE HYDRODYNAMIC PROBLEM OF FLUID INFLUX TO HORIZONTAL AND TO BRANCHED HORIZONTALLY WELLS IN AREA
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Veliyev/Veliyev_2.pdf (in Russian)

Produced article is devoted the solution of a hydrodynamic problem of fluid influx to horizontal (HW) and to horizontally branched wells (BHW).
The task in view dares a method designed by the author taking into account anisotropy's a payment. The reviewed hydrodynamic problem of fluid influx to one (HW), is generalized on case BHW with any number of horizontal trunks. Special cases when in a bench are maintained BHW with two and three horizontal trunks are reviewed. For case BHW with three horizontal trunks at various values of their lengths, taking into account anisotropy's of a bench calculi are effected and learnt influencing locus of trunks after the relation of top of oil horizon or a base surface, and also anisotropy's of a bench on a well productivity.
The deduction that the bench anisotropic effect on a well productivity is more essential, than a layout of trunks - of horizontal holes after the relation of top of oil horizon or a base surface is drawn.

http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Struppul/Struppul_1.pdf (in Russian)

Tentative experiments showed that Pseudoalteromonas citrea, Pseudoalteromonas elyakovii and Oceanisphaera litoralis can utilize petroleum hydrocarbons pollution of seawater. All researched microorganisms are capable for degradation of some petroleum products: ligroin, benzene, kerosene etc. Our research of the dynamics of petroleum products biodegradation in present of these microorganisms (residual fractions of oil, diesel, and gasoline) showed that intermediate degradation stage is aromatic hydrocarbons formation. Dynamics of biodegradation of gasoline pollution in synthetic seawater by these microorganisms was determined by static vapor-phase analysis with subsequent gas chromatographic separation. Degradation of gasoline in 20 days is approximately 80 %. That indicate that these microorganisms could be used to oil hydrocarbons reduction in water. Pseudoalteromonas citrea had the greatest utilizing ability, with an average destruction level of 90.6 %.

DETERMINING OF COUPLED WATER IN SAMPLES ROCKS AT MICROWAVE FREQUENCIES
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Tabarin/Tabarin_1.pdf (in Russian)

This paper describes the first results of our laboratory investigation of the formation constitutient (rock matrix and borehoule fluids) and the composite formation. The electromagnetic propagation tool has demonstrated that the dielectric permittivity of rocks at microwave frequencies. This investigation are helpful in determining the properties of the rocks and the fluids contain, especially coupled water. Electrical parameters of rocks with fluids are found generally complex. A technique has been developed for measuring the complex dielectric ptrmittivity over a microwave frequency bands (8.15 to 12 GHz). Measurements on bulk water of various salinities demonstrate the salinity dependence of the dielectric constant () of water at high salinities. The measured a dielectric loss () shows little dispersion and is in good agreement with measured low-frequency values by other investigators. All measurements are made with samples of different porosity (3 to 24%) and saturated porous water (88.9 to 32.6%). Error of measurements 10% be achieved.

A COMPARISON STUDY OF THE OF THE CO2-OIL PHYSICAL PROPERTIES LITERATURE CORRELATIONS ACCURACY USING VISUAL BASIC MODELLING TECHNIQUE
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/Al-Jarba/Al-Jarba_1.pdf

A key parameter in a CO2 flooding process is the gas solubility as it contributes to oil viscosity reduction and oil swelling, which together, in turn, enhance the oil mobility and oil relative permeability. Often injected gas-oil mixture physical properties parameters are established through time-consuming experimental means or using correlations available in the literature. However, one must recognise that such correlations for predicting the injected CO2-oil physical properties are valid usually for certain data ranges or site-specific conditions.
In this paper, a comparison has been presented between the literature correlations for CO2-oil physical properties using excel spreadsheet and also using Visual Basic soft ware. Emera and Sarma (2006) correlations have yielded more accurate predictions with lower errors than the other tested models for all the tested physical properties (CO2 solubility, oil swelling due to CO2, CO2-oil density, and CO2-oil viscosity). Furthermore, unlike the literature models, which were applicable to only limited data ranges and conditions, Emera and Sarma models could be applied over a wider range and conditions.
The developed Visual Basic software can be used to test which correlation presents the best accuracy between a list of different literature correlations for CO2-oil physical properties and then once the best correlation has been selected, the user can go to this correlation and use it in predicting the property (CO2 solubility, oil swelling due to CO2, CO2-oil density, and CO2-oil viscosity) when no experimental data are not available.

The comparative analysis of both chemical composition and physical-mechanical properties of 90/130 penetration-grade bitumens derived from the Tatarstan (Romashkinskoe oil field) (A) and Kazakhstan (B) oils was performed. The difference in disperse structure was found. Differential scanning calorimeter was used to investigate the phase constitution of bitumens and composition on their basis. The modification effect was found to be reduced to enhancing the intrinsic colloid structure of bitumen and may be discussed in terms of thermodynamics of phase formation of polymer solutions. It is shown that hydro isolation material on the basis of B bitumen with gel-type structure possesses better service performance as compared with that on the basis of A bitumen with sol-type structure.

RELATIVE PERMEABILITY CURVES FOR HIGH PRESSURE, HIGH TEMPERATURE RESERVOIR CONDITIONS
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/Gawish/Gawish_1.pdf

The Objective of this paper is to clearly investigate the effect of some factors on oil-water relative permeability curves under certain reservoir pressure and temperature. In literature, the effect of different factors on relative permeability of oil-water systems have been studied under ambient room conditions. However, treatments studies dealing with the effect of factores under reservoir conditions are few. Therefore, in this study, wettability alterations, brine chemistry, clay content, and their impacts on relative permeability curves under particular reservoir pressure and temperature were studied. Pore pressure, pore pressure drawdown and their combined effect with overburden stress and brine chemistry on relative permeability curves were also investigated at reservoir conditions. The relative permeability was calculated using JBN method. In conclusions, the change of wettability from water wet to mixed wet gives relatively higher relative permeability to oil at high and medium oil saturation in the core samples. But at low oil saturation the relative permeability to oil becomes lower in mixed wet than in water wet. At reservoir temperature, the oil relative permeability increases at all oil saturations compare with room conditions. This effect may be not due to the change in wettability but due to the change in viscosity ratio. The effect of clay content on all permeability types (absolute, effective, relative permeability, relative permeability ratio, and fractional water flow) was bad due its damaging effect. The increase of net overburden pressure cause decrease in the relative permeability of oil, however, its effect on relative permeability of water was negligible

INFLUENCE OF THE DISTANCE BETWEEN A NOZZLE AND A MIXING CHAMBER ON THE LIQUID-GAS EJECTOR EFFICIENCY
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Dolgov/Dolgov_1.pdf (in Russian)

The influence of the distance between a nozzle and a mixing chamber on the liquid-gas ejector efficiency is experimentally studied and described in this paper. The liquid-gas ejectors are used to utilize associated gas. The experiments conducted on the laboratory bench made it possible to estimate the optimal distance between a nozzle and a mixing chamber. The maximum value of the isothermal efficiency was recorded when the ratio of the distance between a nozzle and a mixing chamber to the diameter of a mixing chamber ranged from 3.4 to 3.7. This optimum ratio does not depend on the ejector operating conditions nor on the operating pressure in a nozzle. This ratio value is recommended for the design of liquid-gas ejectors.

DISSOCIATION OF HYDRATED MARINE SEDIMENT
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/Iqbal/Iqbal_1.pdf

Modelling of hydrate dissociation in a sediment bed is needed to understand the gas evolution characteristics. This will determine temperature profiles in the sediment bed at different times and also the rate of propagation of the dissociation front. The model would consider the subsidence of sediment bed during and after hydrate dissociation. Sediment collapse would affect the gas recovery from hydrated sediments and an understanding of the process is thus crucial to cost effective gas extraction from hydrate. The model gives us a picture of the collapse process in time. Sediment subsidence curves show that subsidence is a strong function of void ratio and compression index of the sediment. Lower void ratios resulted in almost linear dependence of subsidence on time, whereas higher void ratios produced a curvature in the plot. The effect was similar with lower compression indices producing gradual subsidence and higher values resulting in exponential curves. Total settlement plots illustrated a linear behaviour of settlement with time at low values of shear stress change. Larger values of both compression index and shear stress change caused markedly non linear relationship with time. Increasing iterations (in effect increasing the time of settlement) found settlements to taper off. The settlement curve obtained by the model was compared to the actual settlement curves of marine sediment under compression. It was found that when the model was set to the overburden pressure and other parameters of the experimental results, the prediction of settlement was acceptably close. The model will allow optimization of gas recovery efforts from hydrated sediments.

POTENTIAL OF UV-VISIBLE ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY FOR CHARACTERIZING CRUDE PETROLEUM OILS
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/Evdokimov/Evdokimov_1e.pdf
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Evdokimov/Evdokimov_1.pdf (in Russian)

New experimental data as well as analysis of published databases show that the potential of UV-Visible absorption (UVVA) spectroscopy for classification/evaluation of petroleum may be strongly underestimated. Even the simplest "coloration" approach, when monotonous UVVA spectra are characterized by a single numerical parameter, allows distinguishing various types of crude oils. Subjected to proper processing, apparently "featureless" UVVA spectrum shows a multiple peak structure superimposed on a general monotonous background providing a basis for UVVA employment for compositional analysis of crude oils. The main practical problem is that generally crude oils are opaque and have to be diluted for UVVA analysis. Our experiments show that oil dilution may strongly affect the measured UVVA spectra apparently due to de-aggregation of asphaltenes in a solution. Further development of UVVA techniques requires better understanding of the nature/composition of asphaltenes. A useful approach may be consideration of "molecular diversity" models, being developed for other systems with continuous UVVA spectra, in particular for humic acids and melanins.

PREDICTION OF HYDRATE FORMATION TEMPERATURE FOR NATURAL GAS USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/Heydari/Heydari_1.pdf

A great number of petroleum engineering calculations require knowledge of natural gas hydrate formation conditions. Ideally, natural gas hydrate formation conditions are determined experimentally in the laboratory, but these data are not always available. Correlations are consequently used to determine values for natural gas hydrate formation conditions. In this paper, an alternate tool, i.e. the artificial neural network (ANN) technique has been applied for estimation of temperature for gas hydrate formation.
ANN was applied to the 167 raw data in the range of 32-74 , 50-4200 psia and 0.554-1 for temperature, pressure and specific gravity, respectively. To check the ANN model, the samples were divided into two groups. One of them contained 149 samples and was used to train the network and the remaining 18 samples were used as the test sets. For the training of the different networks, the standard feed forward back propagation algorithm was used and several types of structures were tested to obtain the most suitable network for the prediction of solubility. To check the reproducibility of the results, each of the networks studied was trained three times. Finally the best ANN structure was determined as 7-5-1.
In comparison of performance analysis of ANN, the relative error (RE) was studied and maximum error found 3.035 percent and R2 value was equal to 0.9941. To ensure, the results of ANN was compared with the results of Sloan model. To sum up ANN shows the better results in comparison with it. So it can be concluded that ANN provides a good method in predicting temperature at witch hydrates formation occurs.

FINITE STRAIN PROBLEMS IN ANSYS AND LS-DYNA. APPLIED NUMERICAL METHODS VERIFICATION
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Shapiro/Shapiro_1.pdf (in russian)

Present-day finite element method (FEM) packages, such as ANSYS and LS-DYNA, are multiple objective complexes for the analysis and a solution of the broad audience of tasks in different areas of physics. In all these packages possibilities for problem solving in geometrically nonlinear setting are announced. However the analysis of domestic both foreign references and simples tests have allowed to place, that the numerical methods used now by the most popular packages for solving of finite strain problems, are insufficiently correct and give an adequate estimation only in special cases. The refusal from an offsets and strains smallness hypothesis in solid mechanics reduces in significant problems which till now up to the extremity are solved, despite of the urgency for practical applications. In this article the main attention is given to inspection of reasonableness of the outcomes obtained at calculations of tasks with finite strains in FEM packages. The verification scheme is offered and trying is made to outline boundaries of applicability of two popular packages (ANSYS and LS-DYNA) for finite strains problems solving.

THE APPLICATION OF THE OIL FUEL FOR AUTOMOBILE TRANSPORT.
(THE FIRST HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY)
http://www.ogbus.com/eng/authors/Mastobaev/theappl.pdf

So far development of the automobile transport was accompanied by means of change of the composition quantity of the oil fuel. From the moment of the invention of the internal combustion engines of the carburetor type was began the era of the use benzene of the motor oil, which was became the general product of oil refining. The invention of engines with high degrees of compression required fuel with the sufficient anti-detonation characteristics. In connection with that fact there was a tendency to gradual substitution of pure benzene with mixed benzene. Such additions as benzole, tetraethyllead and alcohol served as antidetonation dopants. The creation of such cracking-systems allowed to increase octane numbers of benzene. At the end of the 19th century the invention of the new diesel engine leed to the creation of another type of motor fuel. Diesel engines burned oil fuel. Thus, at the first half of the 20th century oil fuel took first place among motor fuel of all sorts on the foreign market.
